Mike buys a thing...

So it would seem that yesterday I happened to purchase a summer project... (As if we didn't have enough to do) but after taking one look at this ol' landy FC101 military truck, I had to have it!!!

As it sits, someone had made a "custom" roof and brush guard which will be coming off to make room for the original canvas top. Comes complete with original rover v8 and full time 4wd. An over-drive for when you wanna go extreem speeds (65mph) and heavy duty 1 ton "Salisbury" axles with military gearing. And with right hand drive, it should be fun getting on and off the highway here in the states! Though we may have to go through the drive through backwards...

These trucks were designed to be airlifted by helicopter and carry a 1 ton payload, and also to tow one of England's (at the time new) artillery cannons.

It's a neat little big truck, and is reminicent of the old pinzgauers and unimogs.

... I think this summer I'll have plenty to do!

-Mike

hanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience of mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to

We're just a bunch of people who love gettin down and dirty and spending way to much time in the garage. Do you jack it up? Slam it down? throw mud? Burn rubber? Roll coal? Break cheap wrenches and bust knuckles?
    Drink beer?
Of course you do, and we want to hear about it!
